Chestnut honey with a dark amber color is characterized by woody flavors with a certain bitterness.

Harvest and apiaries

I harvest this honey in June in the Léze valley and in July in the upper Arize valley between 600 and 800 m above sea level.

This chestnut honey has a strong, slightly bitter taste. It is rich in trace elements: potassium, magnesium…

It remains liquid for several months.

Extraction and packaging of chestnut honey

This honey is cold extracted and packaged in my beekeeping farm which is located in Haute-Arize, in Montagagne (Ariège).

It is not pasteurized, like all of my products.
